Wates appoints former Willmott Dixon exec to lead UK Operations 

Wates has appointed Roger Forsdyke as its new UK Operations Director, with the former Willmott Dixon executive set to oversee operations across the company’s UK business.

Forsdyke will take up the role on 1 September 2026, bringing more than 15 years’ experience in senior positions across tier one construction businesses.

He joins Wates from Willmott Dixon, where he served as Chief Operating Officer of its interiors business.

He was previously Managing Director of the company’s southern construction region.

Forsdyke to lead Wates Construction operations

As UK Operations Director, Forsdyke will be responsible for operational performance across Wates Construction’s regional teams and will lead the next phase of the business’s operational optimisation programme.

The appointment comes as Wates Construction targets further growth across the public and private sectors, with the business working on projects across a range of sectors and regions.

Former Willmott Dixon director joins Wates

Forsdyke’s previous roles at Willmott Dixon included responsibility for regional construction operations and its interiors business.

Wates said his new role will include supporting operational performance, team development and continuous improvement across its UK construction operations.
