Liverpool city centre office refurbishment programme gets underway
Refurbishment work is underway at 43 Castle Street in Liverpool city centre, with the Local Authority Pension Fund owner investing in upgrades to the office building.
The programme will include a full refurbishment of the first floor and the installation of new basement end-of-journey facilities.
The first-floor works are due to complete in December 2026 and will create a series of office suites, including accommodation with access to private terraces.
New office space and occupier facilities
A second phase of the project is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027 and will deliver new end-of-journey facilities in the building’s basement.

The facilities will include showers, secure cycle storage and dry lockers.
The works follow previous improvements to 43 Castle Street, including upgrades to the reception area and selected office floors.
The building is located within Liverpool’s established commercial quarter and the Castle Street Conservation Area.
Refurbishment aims to improve building performance
Project management consultancy T&T is advising on the refurbishment programme.

CBRE is acting as letting agent for the refurbished space.

The refurbished office suites will be available in a range of sizes for businesses seeking office accommodation in central Liverpool.
