Industry leaders join forces to launch Rebuild campaign championing construction’s success stories
Leading trade bodies and industry partners have joined forces with Build News to launch a major new campaign aimed at championing the positive stories helping drive UK construction forward.
The Rebuild campaign, spearheaded by Build News in partnership with organisations including the National Federation of Builders (NFB) and Builders Merchants Federation (BMF), will shine a spotlight on the businesses, projects and people continuing to invest, innovate and grow despite the challenges facing the sector.
The initiative comes at a critical time for UK construction.

Danny Ball- Build News Editor
Danny Ball, editor of Build News, said: “While the industry remains one of the country’s most important economic drivers, supporting millions of jobs and delivering the homes, infrastructure and commercial developments the UK relies upon, businesses continue to face significant pressures from rising costs, economic uncertainty, labour shortages and a challenging trading environment.
“Recent industry surveys have highlighted concerns around slowing project pipelines, squeezed margins and ongoing skills shortages, creating a backdrop of caution across many parts of the sector.
“Yet amid those challenges, companies across the construction supply chain continue to secure major contracts, complete landmark projects, create jobs, invest in apprenticeships and develop innovative new products and services.
“That’s why we’ve launched Rebuild to ensure those stories are heard.”
The campaign will celebrate achievements from every corner of the industry, including new contract awards, project starts and completions, business growth and investment, senior appointments, skills and apprenticeship initiatives, sustainability programmes, supply chain successes and community projects.

By bringing together trade bodies, businesses and industry stakeholders, the campaign aims to provide a more balanced picture of a sector that remains resilient, ambitious and critical to the UK’s future prosperity.
John Newcomb, Chief Executive of the Builders Merchants Federation, said: “The Build News Rebuild campaign is looking to shift the negative narrative around construction by highlighting positive stories. It’s a great idea, and the BMF is fully behind it.
“We all want to see a thriving construction industry in the UK. You can help make this happen by joining the campaign and sharing your company’s success stories – big or small – and the positive impact they’re having on your business.”
Alongside editorial coverage, Rebuild will also provide practical support to businesses looking to maintain visibility during challenging market conditions.
Build News has developed a heavily incentivised six-month marketing support package running from July to December, combining digital advertising, content marketing, targeted email campaigns and business profiling at a substantially reduced rate.

The initiative has been designed to help businesses continue promoting products, services and achievements at a time when many marketing budgets are under increasing pressure.
Nick Fellows, Managing Director of Crosby Associates Media, publisher of Build News, said: “Construction faces no shortage of challenges, but there are also thousands of positive stories being written every day.
“Businesses are investing, winning work, creating jobs, training apprentices and delivering projects that make a real difference to communities across the UK.
“Rebuild is about shining a light on those successes and helping ensure the industry’s achievements get the recognition they deserve.
“We also recognise that maintaining visibility can be difficult when budgets are under pressure, which is why we’ve worked with our industry partners to create heavily discounted marketing support as part of the campaign.
“Construction remains vital to the UK’s future. Rebuild is our contribution to championing the businesses, projects and people helping drive the sector forward.”

Build News has rapidly established itself as one of the daily voices of the construction sector, reaching more than 200,000 readers each month across contracting, development, manufacturing, merchanting, consultancy and the wider supply chain.
The publication is now calling on organisations across the sector to share the stories that demonstrate construction’s resilience, ambition and continued contribution to the UK economy.
Whether it is a major project milestone, a new contract award, an investment in skills, a product launch, business expansion or a community initiative, Rebuild aims to showcase the activity helping move the industry forward.
Because while challenges remain, so too do the businesses, projects and people continuing to build Britain’s future.
