Gleeson Homes and Jigsaw begin affordable Housing delivery in Nottinghamshire

Gleeson Homes has partnered with Jigsaw Homes Group to deliver 20 affordable homes at the Hollinwell Heath development in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.

The start of construction has been marked by the laying of the project’s first ‘golden brick’, signalling the beginning of delivery for the affordable housing element within the wider scheme.

The 20 homes form part of a larger 196-home development being delivered across 16.2 acres of former agricultural land. Under the agreement, 15 properties will be made available for affordable rent, with a further five offered through shared ownership.

All of the affordable homes will be two-bedroom semi-detached properties, distributed throughout the site. The wider scheme will include a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom homes.

Low-Carbon Design and Regional Connectivity

Homes across the development will incorporate air source heat pumps, reflecting the increasing adoption of low-carbon technologies in new-build residential construction.

The site is located close to the M1 motorway and rail links from Kirkby-in-Ashfield, providing access to major regional and national transport networks.

Supporting Regional Housing Supply

The first homes are expected to be handed over to Jigsaw Homes Group in May 2026, contributing to the supply of affordable housing in Nottinghamshire and supporting wider residential development in the area.
