Falcon Fox completes major Sunderland AV fit-out
Falcon Fox Developments has completed the installation of audio-visual systems at Sunderland’s Culture House after acting as CDM Principal Contractor for Sunderland City Council.
The contractor worked with immersive experience specialist Seeper on the installation of LED screens and feature lighting within the building’s atrium, alongside the fit-out of media and podcasting rooms.
Culture House, located in central Sunderland, opened to the public on 12 September and includes a new city library, immersive spaces, digital screens, a green screen studio and podcasting facilities.

The work required coordination with other fit-out activities within the building, with health and safety management forming part of the contractor’s role.
Ritchie Wharton, Director at Falcon Fox Developments, said: “It was a fascinating experience working alongside Seeper, which is recognised as a global leader in immersive technologies.
“While Culture House provides a range of amazing experiences, all requiring the highest levels of technical support, there can be no doubt the quality of the audio visual is crucial. We were, therefore, honoured to act as principal contractor for the installation of the system.”
Richard Schofield, Technical & Operations Manager at Sunderland City Council, said: “Acting as the Council’s CDM Principal Contractor, Falcon Fox Developments played a key role in delivering the AV installations at Culture House, including the digital LED walls within its main feature Living Room, podcast studios, media studio, interactive bookcases, meeting rooms, and immersive gallery.
“Through effective coordination with other fit out works, proactive management, and a strong commitment to health and safety, they helped ensure these facilities were delivered successfully and opened to the public on programme.”
