Caddick Construction secures £127m pipeline one year after North East expansion
Caddick Construction has secured £127 million of work in the North East during the first year since opening its regional office in Durham, as the contractor continues to expand its presence across the region.
The contractor established its North East base at Adelaide House, Belmont Business Park, in Durham in 2024, creating a dedicated regional hub to support projects, clients and supply chain partners.
Since launching in the region, Caddick has been appointed to projects with a combined value of £127 million.

These include Placefirst’s Galley’s View build-to-rent development in Sunderland and Richardson Barberry’s DPD parcel hub at Newton Aycliffe.
The Durham office now supports a regional team of 54 people.
Regional team expands following office launch
Over the past 12 months, the contractor has recruited 36 new employees across operational, commercial and project management roles to support its growing workload in the North East.
Caddick said the regional office has strengthened relationships with clients and created opportunities for local recruitment and supply chain engagement.
Alongside its main contracting business, Caddick’s specialist businesses, CCL Facades and Caddick Civil Engineering, have also expanded their pipeline of work in the North East, securing projects with both Caddick Construction and external clients.

The business has also supported community initiatives in the region, including raising £11,000 for St Cuthbert’s Hospice in Durham through a Christmas tree recycling campaign earlier this year.
Caddick outlines long-term commitment to North East
Paul Dodsworth, Group Managing Director of Caddick Construction Group, said: “Launching our Durham office represented an important step in our growth strategy and our commitment to the North East. One year on, we’re proud of the progress we’ve made, the relationships we’ve built and the projects we’re delivering across the region.
“The North East continues to present significant opportunities for investment and development, and having a dedicated regional presence has allowed us to work even more closely with our clients, partners and communities.
“As we look ahead, we remain focused on growing our team, supporting local supply chains and delivering high-quality projects that create lasting value throughout the region.”
