Barratt site manager lands NHBC Seal of Excellence
A Barratt Homes site manager has received a 2026 Seal of Excellence Award from the National House-Building Council (NHBC) for his work at the Clipstone Park development in Leighton Buzzard.
Marian Istrate was recognised through the NHBC’s Pride in the Job programme after winning a Quality Award for the development for three consecutive years.
The Seal of Excellence is awarded to site managers who have been selected from the winners of the Pride in the Job Quality Awards.

Istrate is now preparing to move to David Wilson Homes’ Leestone Park development in Leighton Buzzard, with construction at Clipstone Park nearing completion.
Site management and build quality
Istrate said the award reflected the work undertaken by the wider site team to maintain quality and safety standards throughout construction.
“A lot goes into the day-to-day running of a site. We have worked really hard to put quality and safety at the forefront of our work at Clipstone Park.
“To have that recognised with a Seal of Excellence is a huge achievement and something I am incredibly proud of. I look forward to taking that same approach to Leestone Park and continuing to deliver high-quality new homes for Leighton Buzzard.”
Bill Beyzade, Managing Director at Barratt David Wilson North Thames, said the recognition reflected the work of the site team and subcontractors involved in the development.
“It’s fantastic to see this recognition of Marian’s hard work and dedication at Clipstone Park. The Seal of Excellence is a great achievement and recognises the high standards, attention to detail, and leadership that go into delivering a development.
