Morgan Sindall expands South West construction operations
Morgan Sindall Construction’s South West business traces its roots to regional contractor Stansell, founded in 1823. It now forms part of the company’s Central and West business unit.
The contractor has an established presence at Exeter Science Park, having delivered several projects on the campus, including the George Parker Bidder Building.
Its wider regional portfolio includes £40 million of city centre regeneration work in Plymouth, covering Armada Way, Royal Parade and Civic Square, and the £10 million Liskeard Community Hub for Cornwall Council.
In Exeter, Morgan Sindall Construction has delivered the £9 million Centre for Resilience in Environment, Water and Waste at the University of Exeter, described as the UK’s first net-zero-in-operation water research facility.

Exeter Science Park provides base for regional growth
Exeter Science Park supports organisations working across science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM). The park supports 750 jobs and generates more than £50 million in gross value added each year.
Graham Kingdon, Area Director for Morgan Sindall Construction in the South West, said: “Opening our new headquarters at Exeter Science Park is an exciting next step for our business in the South West. We’ve worked across the region for many years, so having a permanent base in Exeter feels like a natural progression.
“The new office gives our team the space to grow while keeping us close to clients, partners and communities across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and North Somerset. Being part of the Science Park community is also a great fit with our focus on innovation and sustainability.”
